About MeMy name is Jessica Quick. I am a meteorologist in the Columbia/Jefferson City, Missouri TV market. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in meteorology in May 2012 from Northern Illinois University. I also recieved my Certificate in Geographic Information Systems upon graduation from NIU. I am very interested in the ever-changing atmosphere and the weather we experience every day. I am particularly intrigued by severe weather, as I grew up in the Midwest and have experienced all types of weather, with the exception of hurricanes. My day to day duties include preparing my own weather forecasts, creating graphics for on-air use using Weather Central Fusion, and delivering an engaging on-air weather presentation. I am also the station's digital content director, where I create news content for the website, as well as manage our social media platforms. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, husband Derek, and friends. I also love running and biking, as well as competing in local 5 and 10k races. Busch Stadium is one of my favorite places to visit in the spring and summer to watch my beloved St. Louis Cardinals, and I am a big NIU Huskies sports fan!
